Zwei Bilder der Serie „a Twist, a Turn, a Dance“ wurden in der PH21 Galerie in Budapest ausgestellt.
A twist, a turn, a dance. With my photographs I freeze a movement my eyes would never be able to capture. The photograph, however, is also showing something in the past, shows light that already has faded.
In photography everything is about time. The aperture, the time the light needs to travel – and the difference between the time, the picture has been taken and now. Photography cannot exist without time. Roland Barthes states in his book „camera lucida“ that photography is therefore about death. The object might be dead when the viewer glimpses at the picture. The moment, however, has for sure faded.
